Robin Talbot is a commercial suckler farmer from Coole, Ballacolla, Co. Laois.
His aim is to produce quality cattle for the domestic and export beef markets. At the heart of the herd is the 200 primarily Limousin cows which are bred with either Belgian Blue or Limousin stocks bulls.
He is married to Ann Fitzgerald who has worked for some 20 years as an agri-journalist, including nine years as Livestock Editor with the Farming Independent.
She is a relatively recent, but fully committed, recruit to the co-called Red Army which supports Munster Rugby while Robin played the oval ball game in his (distant) youth and is a long-time Leinster fan.
They have two daughters, Sarah and Ruth.
